I have been struggling for years with a skincare routine. I find a product and use it only to realize that its not actually working for my skin, I am left feeling either too greasy or too dry. I had finally had enough and decided to put coconut oil on my skin. It is a quick and easy skincare routine that I do not have to stress over in the morning or break the bank.
I wanted something simple and quick. I make this whipped coconut oil from organic cold pressed virgin coconut oil
Now I have done both ways to whip the coconut oil. You can either add it right to your stand mixer and whip until light and fluffy. But you will have some small chunks through out the oil.

I prefer to heat my coconut oil in a double broiler until melted and then let cool until slightly firm. You should be able to press your finger into the oil and feel slight resistance.
Once it has cooled and firmed slightly then whip in your stand mixer until double in size and light and fluffy. It will be a beautiful white color.
With a spatula scope into a glass container. I use something with a good lid. You can either store in the fridge but I choose to store a small amount in my bathroom. I apply a small amount after washing my face with warm water. I rub in small circular motions, then let it sit for a few moments while I finish up with my hair or brushing my teeth. I then take a towel and whip off excessive oils.
Coconut oil is a solid at room temperature. It should keep well in your bathroom if it is not getting so hot to melt it.
Check your oil when using to make sure it still smells good and there is still good color and consistency.
